Work

I build a payments company from the inside out, from zero to growth: the infrastructure, the product, the scale and the intelligence that connects it all.

Hello Clever

Co-founder & CTO · 2021 to present

Money movement should work more like an exchange.

People should be able to pay in the way that suits them, without understanding rails or providers. Merchants should get infrastructure that absorbs that complexity and decides how the money moves.

I built the technology that took Hello Clever from zero to one. Now I'm building what comes after: the platform, network and intelligence layer for money movement.

What I work on

  • Product

Checkout, collections, payouts, treasury, orchestration, data and AI, and how they work as one platform.

  • Technology

Architecture across providers, rails, currencies and markets, without hiding the constraints that matter.

  • Bank and payment rail integrations

Banks, acquirers and payment networks, from the commercial discussion through to launch.

  • Capital and company building

Fundraising, expansion and what we build next. The company and the platform are the same problem.

  • Risk and compliance

Security, PCI DSS and regulation. In payments, these are part of the design.

  • Leadership

Direction, teams and the standards that let others make good decisions.

Where I want to take it

The long-term ambition is to build the exchange layer for money movement.

A merchant integrates once. The infrastructure decides how the money moves, and for the person paying, that complexity disappears.

Microsoft

Before Hello Clever, I was a Technology Strategist at Microsoft, working with companies building cloud products on Azure across architecture, product and go-to-market.

That experience shaped how I think about technology: a good system has to be understandable, reusable and commercially viable, not just technically sound.

Earlier work

Before that, I was a software engineer in commerce, fintech and insurance, close to production systems and real users.

Since then the scope has moved from individual systems, to platforms, to the teams around them.
